Russia Master Class - Day 2

Russia Master Class - Day 2

Today was full of new techniques...intricate filigree work that took many hours to complete. Learning about the “ flow “ and control required to create smooth, elegant details that look effortless ( but in my case, were certainly Not ). It just takes lots of practice and patience. But filigree reminds me of intricate lace work and hand-embroidery, two art forms that have always been fascinating to me. We also worked on using decorative trims and architectural elements and a bit of faux painting. Tomorrow, we begin a new chapter by adding peonies to the composition. Thank you to Anna @anna_stepochkina_as , the kind and patient instructor, Oksana, @ksene4ka_honey, our unflappable interpreter, and of course, Evgenia Ermilova @evgenia_ermilova
